Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator (Contract Role)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator to join our team in a contract role. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about operations and eager to grow within supply chain management. The position supports multiple functions including logistics coordination, order tracking, inventory control, receiving, and purchasing. You will play a key role in ensuring the timely flow of goods, maintaining accurate inventory, and supporting purchasing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily logistics and shipping schedules with vendors, carriers, and warehouses
  • Monitor and track incoming and outgoing orders, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any delays
  • Manage and verify incoming materials through the receiving process, ensuring accurate documentation
  • Support inventory control by maintaining accurate monthly records, reporting discrepancies, performing regular cycle counts, and analyzing stock levels to support production planning
  • Serve as backup to the Warehouse Manager as needed, supporting daily operations, receiving coordination, and team communication
  • Support the purchasing team by placing purchase orders, following up with vendors, and tracking deliveries
  • Maintain records and data in ERP systems related to inventory, orders, and shipments
  • Communicate with internal departments to ensure materials and products are available as needed
  • Help identify process improvements to support supply chain efficiency, cost control, and material availability
Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field
  • Experience with order tracking systems, warehouse portals, or transportation platforms
Preferred but Not Required:
  • 1-2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, purchasing, or inventory management (internships or co-ops considered)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, SAP, or similar is a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
