Our Opportunity
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for the sales team in the growth, revenue, and profitability of commercial sales, multifamily sales, and building envelope sales in the United States and Canada.
Critical to the success of the position includes:
- Qualify all incoming leads from marketing sources, filter out leads not worth pursuing, and provide recommendations to the Sales team for the next step with the lead.
- Develop lead management and qualifying process to take 3rd party data about AEC users of Maxxon data, filter that with other qualifying resources, and provide sales team with a list of AEC firms to focus on based on their trends of use with Maxxon products.
- Search specifications for Maxxon’s Commercial product line and send project details to the Commercial Sales team. Conduct data mining for the large, deep & complicated pour/leveling projects that give Maxxon and our applicator business model an advantaged position.
- Support the new building envelope product line with sales call follow up, vetting of potential in person visits, and lead development for the National Sales Manager of Entangled Mesh Products.
Essential Functions
- Support the generation of new revenue and profitability throughout the US and Canada by qualifying marketing 3rd party resources and leads to the sales team.
- Utilize tools like ConstructConnect, Multifamily Exchange, Dodge, etc to compare the top 100 architects and developers to the incoming list of users of Maxxon products from our 3rd party resources. Find architects and developers not utilizing Maxxon products and send to sales team for their pursuit.
- Utilize Speclink, MasterSpec, and ConstructConnect to find Maxxon Commercial products listed in projects. Generate project lists by sales territory and send list to the Director of Sales for distribution.
- Qualify incoming phone call leads and incoming email leads by vetting the requests, researching firms, comparing to national lists and internal tracking tools. Develop prioritized hand off process to sales team with help and direction from the Director of Sales.
- Lead and develop sales support initiatives within the company, particularly tied to Commercial and Building Envelope Sales.
- Assist in developing sales, training power points and handouts to educate Maxxon customer base.
- Promote and increase product awareness through phone conversations and e-mail communications.
- Review and recommend 3rd party architect resource lead generation platforms for potential future use.
Ideal candidate Will
- Have 5+ years in construction product sales management.
- Enjoy customer service and develop long lasting relationships.
- Have ability to be versatile and work independently while still operating within a team environment.
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Able to quickly build trusted, honest relationships with current and new customers at multiple levels within a business.
- Able to travel 15%, including overnights within region or to corporate events.
