Director of Marketing

Max-Tech, Inc. is a group of privately-owned, vertically integrated companies. This includes Maxxon, a leading building products manufacturer of floor underlayment and floor prep solutions for multifamily and commercial construction. Maxxon sells through three sales channels – multifamily, commercial and building envelope. MaxTech is also comprised of a network of companies specializing in the installation of subfloor solutions and other subcontracted services including concrete & waterproofing, insulation, fireproofing, resinous and finished commercial flooring. These companies, known as the Construction Services Group (CSG), include Structis, East Coast Poured Floors, and Floor Technologies.

Maxxon and the MaxTech CSG engage with the AEC community to drive demand generation through to our channel customers which include installers, distributors, private label resellers, general contractors, and end users.

Position Summary

MaxTech is seeking a Director of Marketing to develop sales-aligned strategic vision for each of the Maxxon and MaxTech CSG sales channels. Each of these channels are unique in their audiences and product lines

This is a player-coach role responsible for identifying market trends and customer insights and translating them into opportunities to retain, grow and gain revenue and business profitability. This person will lead product and branding strategies and execution across the enterprise and within each business. This role will be highly accountable for driving the growth of the organization and utilizing data analytics to influence strategies and enhance marketing tactics.

Partnership for Sales Channel Success

  • Collaborate with Maxxon Business Unit Leaders and the MaxTech CSG Regional Vice Presidents to develop and execute channel marketing strategies that drive pipeline and revenue growth, taking into account regional and market specific needs and growth opportunities for all business units and the Construction Services Group.
  • Lead multichannel demand generation initiatives including promotions, digital campaigns, content, and events tailored to the audiences and decision makers critical to the channel’s success.
  • Ensure the success of channel marketing strategies by engaging with key audiences to develop a deep understanding of each sales channel and the products that are sold within it. Strengthen national and regional channel performance by identifying coverage and capability gaps and partner with MaxTech and Maxxon Leadership to improve market reach and effectiveness.
  • Guide the development of audience personas, competitor intelligence updates, and market trends and help sales leadership and channel marketing teams understand key insights that emerge.
  • Ensure channel programs are scalable, simple to execute, and designed for effective localization.
  • Lead customer enablement strategy, including onboarding, training, product launch kits, sales tools, and technical resources.
  • Equip partners with clear messaging, positioning, and curated marketing assets that improve selling effectiveness.

Performance Management & Insights

  • Leverage data systems to define and manage KPIs to measure program effectiveness, partner engagement, and lead-to-revenue impact.
  • Deliver regular sales channel performance reporting and insights to leadership and translate Voice of Customer into actionable recommendations that inform strategy, product roadmaps, and go-to-market plans.
  • Collaborate with leadership to create and execute an AI strategy that aligns with the corporate vision for MaxTech.
  • Speak as the subject matter expert for the martech stack and how it can be leveraged/improved to support our sales channels, marketing activities, and help drive overall success.

Leadership & Financial Management

  • Lead and develop a diverse marketing team focused on product, creative, and channel marketing. Connect business units with dedicated subject matter marketing experts that support the channel in setting strategy, product line and audience understanding.
  • Advocate for Marketing AOP budget by understanding current spend and anticipating future spending needs as they align with corporate and business unit performance goals. Leverage performance data to help efficient allocation of funds and strong return on investment across programs, enablement, tools, content, and events.
  • Explore and implement innovations for improving the management, updating, and archiving product collateral and technical support documents, streamlining workflows, and embracing new technologies.

Key requirements:

  • B.S., Business Administration, Marketing or other relevant marketing/business major. (MBA or MS in other relevant Marketing or Business disciplines preferred)
  • 10+ years of brand management or multi-channel marketing
  • Experience marketing to multiple, distinct sales channels and/or multiple product lines
  • Experience as a key contributor in the annual strategic planning process
  • Experience leading new brand launch or rebrand refresh
  • Experience managing agency partner relationships
  • People leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to manage/coach/develop others
  • Strong business analysis capabilities with an aptitude for turning data and information into actionable insights
  • Self-motivated with the ability, and initiative, to actively learn and adapt in a growing organization
  • Strong writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop) experience
