Primary Objective:
The Insulation Installer will lay or replace insulation materials in buildings to control or maintain building temperature.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Installs and replaces insulation in buildings and mechanical systems.
- Reads building plans and blueprints to calculate the quantity and type of insulation materials needed to fulfill job requirements.
- Clears and disposes of old insulation according to established safety guidelines.
- Loads and unloads insulation materials.
- Installs or sprays insulation in attics.
- Measures and cuts insulation to fit into walls, ceilings, and around pipes.
- Fastens insulation in place with tape, screws, staples, or fasteners as needed.
- Transports needed tools and equipment to jobsite.
- Follows company and industry safety guidelines and regulations.
- Ensures all installations follow guidelines and quality standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
About You:
- Extensive knowledge of insulation materials
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools to install insulation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Construction and Related experience preferred.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds at a time.
