Primary Objective

The Diesel Mechanic will oversee all shop activities and a business partner to the operations team to ensure that the maintenance of all company equipment is being completed in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on diesel trucks and hydraulic machinery.
• Oversee fleet compliance by ensuring daily inspections of all company vehicles that are governed under the Federal and State regulatory agencies (Federal Motor Carrier, CHP).
• Track and control parts inventories, vendors and suppliers.
• Properly prioritize, implement and manage work schedules, projects and assignments.

Key Requirements

• High School Diploma and/or GED
• Diesel Mechanic Certification
• Must have at least 3+ years relevant experience managing the maintenance of heavy equipment and trucks.
• Experience working with vehicles (gasoline and diesel) Class A CDL is a plus.
• Experience working on construction equipment a plus.
• ASE or manufacture's certifications a plus.
• MS Office skills.
• Customer service attributes.
• Exposure to electrical hazards, chemicals, standing on concrete, and uneven or slippery surfaces occasionally.
• Works inside & outside within all elements.
• Able to travel to job sites as needed for emergency repairs.
